puppeteers

In hands of fate, we hold the strings,

Puppeteers of earthly things,

Yet heedless steps, a world deceive,

Where creatures roam, no shelter

to receive.

With every choice, the curtain falls,

On habitats lost, nature’s ancient halls.

Birds that soared and animals free,

Now search for havens, displaced,

they plea.

Human hands, like shadows cast,

Shape a future, fading fast,

Yet hope remains, if we amend,

Our puppeteer’s role, a gentle mend.

Let’s craft a world where skies unite,

And creatures roam in vibrant light,

For in our grasp, the chance to bestow,

A haven for all,

Where life may grow.

I am one of 11 phantom artists in Phantoms of the Heath.

I found this small dead tree on the beach, and it made me think about where the birds and animals would go with so much nature being destroyed.
Humans wield a powerful influence on the fate of birds and animals, acting like puppeteers by shaping the environment through activities like deforestation, pollution, and climate change, which can directly impact the habitats and well-being of these species.
