THE OLD BEACH HOUSE

Nestled among a grove of moonah trees stands an old beach house built over one hundred years ago by a baker from Colac. He would sit on his verandah looking through the trees to the dirt road and flowing river.

After heavy rains the floodwaters would lap at his feet.

Then, the new owner, driven by her love of creativity and desire to share art with others saw the hidden potential within the old beach house. She embarked on a journey to transform the house into the extraordinary

MELALEUCA GALLERY.

Visitors would wander through the rooms in awe of the paintings, sculptures and other forms of artistic brilliance.

The old beach house became a cherished part of the community, a sanctuary where creativity thrived.

Alas, with the passing of time, the gallery eventually had to close its doors but the old beach house is a reminder of the beauty that once flourished within its walls.
